About

The Artist:

My name is Sara Wood. I am a self-taught and an educated artist. My interest in art began at a very young age. For me, art has always been one of my stronger passions. Beginning as a hobby, it flourished into a freelance opportunity. Over the course of 8 years, I learned with practice and through art textbooks. In high school, I decided to study art seriously by getting accepted into my high school’s AP (advanced placement) art program. In 2014, I started college as a business major with emphasis in management. A large component to business is marketing. Thus, I took courses to better understand art from a professional perspective. Even, expanding what I knew of art by taking courses in HTML5, CSS, Photoshop, and Animate (Flash). Also, in 2014, acquaintances started requesting shirt logos, posters, and illustrations for gifts. It has become a part-time, freelance opportunity. I have 4 years of post-secondary education experience in many mediums and forms of art. I am an entrepreneur, artist, college student, and determined individual. If you need a logo, portrait, avatar, or similar graphic design I could be the artist for you! *The name RocLogo Design is a play on the French word, Rococo. Rococo was an artistic movement and style in the late 18th century that changed the arts of that time. This included arts like painting, interior design, music, and more. It is known for elaborate, attentive detail that often has playful and witty themes. Often, when we think of Rococo or the “Late Baroque” style, we think of the Palace of Versailles. Versailles is and was known for its inspirational, trend-setting design. Like, the Gardens of Versailles which executed control over the chaos of nature. We can still see many forms of art today that was inspired by the movement.

My reason and goal for RocLogo Design is to provide quality through attention to detail, decorative themes, and memorable designs.
